What we do?
Awareness Campaigns
We conduct regular outreach and education programs in communities, schools, and healthcare centers to spread awareness and reduce stigma.
Patient Support & Counseling
We support individuals and families by offering counseling services, home visits, and access to essential information and resources.
Capacity Building
We organize training workshops for healthcare professionals to improve early diagnosis and treatment of bleeding disorders.
Advocacy
We work with government bodies, hospitals, and global partners to advocate for inclusion in national health policies and access to life-saving treatment.

To achieve the Hemophilia Foundation of the Gambia SMHF’s mission, we believe that we must be aware, supportive, and inclusive of the unique needs of the community members we serve, striving to learn and deliver programs that are representative of the information and input shared by our diverse community members. We believe these actions will help us create our foundation of community and belonging, and organizational culture that values, embraces, and celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion; ultimately leading the SMHF to become the premier chapter within our global bleeding disorders community.
